Terms of sale
What you buy. A one-time service, sold to you by Stripe as merchant of record and supplied by the publisher named in the legal notice: your text becomes the name of this website and is displayed for at least 60 seconds. If other names were paid for before yours, they are displayed first and yours follows, in the order payments were received. Nothing beyond that minimum is promised.
No withdrawal right. The service is fully performed as soon as you pay. By clicking the payment button you expressly agree that it starts immediately and that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (art. L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
No refund. Not when someone renames the site after you, not when your name is removed for breaking the rules.
Your content. You must own the right to publish it. No hate, harassment, illegal content, impersonation, personal data of others, or misleading claims. We can remove any name at any time.
Links. You can attach a social handle or a website to your name. Links open in a new tab, carry no endorsement, and pass no ranking signal. The clickable text is always the real domain, never a label you choose. Links to malware, phishing, illegal content or paid redirection services are removed without refund, and so is the name that carried them.
Price. Shown in US dollars before payment. The amount on the button is the amount you are charged: nothing is added at checkout.
Who sells to you, and tax. The sale is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. acting as merchant of record. Stripe is the seller for your transaction: it issues your receipt and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT due in your country, at the rate applicable there, out of the price shown. The publisher of this site operates under the French VAT exemption for small businesses (franchise en base, art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code): it charges no VAT itself and issues no separate invoice for your purchase. Your receipt from Stripe is your proof of payment.
The rules can change. How the price is calculated, how long a name lasts, what is allowed: all of it can be changed at any time, for any reason, including to keep the site interesting. Every change is announced on the site and on @thesitewithnoname before it applies, listed in the rule log below, and only applies to renames made after it takes effect. The price you saw at the moment you paid is the price you paid, and nothing that comes later can alter the name you already bought.
The site can stop. If the site closes, the history stays online as long as reasonably possible. No compensation is owed for a name that is no longer displayed.
Rule log
Rule — 12 September 2026. Launch rules. The price starts at $10. Every rename adds $1; every hour without a rename removes $1; the price never goes below $10 and has no upper limit. Each name is displayed for a minimum of 60 seconds. One name at a time may wait its turn, and no payment can be opened while another is in progress. The price is locked when a payment is opened and must be completed within 3 minutes, after which the payment page is closed.
Every future change will be added here with its date, so you can always see what the rules were the day you paid.
Privacy
We store the name you paid for, the handle you chose to display, the social account or website you chose to link, the amount and the date. Stripe processes your payment details, we never see your card number. The e-mail Stripe collects for your receipt is not passed to us for any other purpose.
If you ticked “tell me when someone renames it”, we also store the e-mail address you gave us, for that one alert. It is never used for anything else, never shared, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to delete it at any time at the address below.
No advertising trackers, no cookies, no profiling. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, run by our host: it records the page, the country, the browser and the kind of device, never an identifier, an IP address or anything that could single you out or follow you across sites. You can ask for the deletion of your handle at any time at the address below; the name itself stays in the public history.
